I am a local artist working from my home studio by the River Don in South Yorkshire. I draw my inspiration from the surrounding countryside and stunning views all year round. I love the muted colors of Winter, the vibrant shades of Autumn and the fresh greens of Spring and always the light reflexions on the water. The weather adds a further dimension to the scene and the views change dramatically when the river floods. Much of my work is now in acrylic on stretched or box canvas, however I also work in oils and watercolors. I undertake private commissions for paintings. Portraits of house and garden, river craft, pets and favorite holiday landscapes are among subjects previously commissioned.
I produce giclee prints of my paintings as well as greetings cards, notelets etc. under the name the 'Sprotbro painter collection' for sale locally.
