My artwork is a response to both the urban environment and to the colours and shapes found in nature. I often start with observational drawings of a variety of subjects and allow my imagination to flow, creating shapes and patterns.
I enjoy experimenting with colour combinations and feel able to communicate my love of colours and shapes through both abstract and figurative imagery. I enjoy the challenges of producing crisp, clean prints through precise alignment of the multiple layers. Recently I have concentrated on exploring combinations of shapes and colours in a series of abstract images produced using relief printing techniques.
